Pass It ForwardAssociation
Cleburne & Johnson County, Texas

Every kid deserves a ball at their feet.

Pass It Forward Association pays youth soccer registration fees, gives players the gear they need, and runs free clinics, so children from low-income families can play, learn, and grow through the game.

Our mission

Remove every financial barrier to the game

Fields, leagues, and coaches already exist in our community. What many families are missing is the money for fees, cleats, and shin guards, plus reliable rides. PIFA fills that gap by working alongside local leagues, not competing with them.

What we do

Programs that keep kids playing

Every program is built around one goal: get a child on the field this season, and keep them there next season.

1

Registration scholarships

Full or partial season fees paid directly to partner leagues for eligible players, fall and spring.

2

Player kits

Cleats, shin guards, socks, a ball, and a water bottle before the first practice, so no child shows up unprepared.

3

Free skills clinics

Open clinics for all ages, grouped by U.S. Soccer small-sided standards, led by cleared and trained coaches.

4

Coach education

Clinics and certification support for volunteer coaches, so every team gets good, safe coaching.

5

Rides and family support

Help with transportation and bilingual communication, so getting to practice is never the reason a child quits.

6

Fields for the future

Our long-term goal: land and pitches in our own neighborhoods, sized for every age group from 4v4 to 11v11.

For families

How to apply

One simple application covers every child in your home. It is available in English and Spanish, on paper or online.

Apply

Fill out the PIFA Player Application. Fall season deadline: [July 15]. Spring season deadline: [January 31].

We cover the cost

Once approved, PIFA pays your child's league directly and arranges their player kit.

Your child plays

Your child joins a team in a local league and plays a full season with everything they need.

Your family qualifies in one of three ways

  • Automatic: your child gets free or reduced-price school meals, or your family receives SNAP, Medicaid, CHIP, or WIC.
  • Income: your household income is at or below the limits in the table.
  • Hardship: job loss, a medical emergency, foster or kinship care, or another hard situation.
